Jayman Living Breaks Ground on 400,000-Square-Foot Social and Athletic Club in Calgary

Planned amenities include an NHL-sized ice rink, expansive aquatics and athletic facilities, rooftop dining and wellness experiences

CALGARY, Alberta, Oct. 05, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Today, Jayman Living broke ground on The Nostalgia Club at Nostalgia Townlet in southeast Calgary. Opening in Fall 2029, the most prestigious private social and athletic club in North America will span more than 400,000 square feet of signature experiences, designed so that every generation can belong.

Set within Nostalgia Townlet’s 500 acres overlooking the Bow River, The Nostalgia Club brings generations together through recreation, athletics, aquatics, wellness, dining and business. Every experience is thoughtfully designed to support lifelong well-being and create meaningful moments for families to share. Membership is exclusive by design, with a lasting sense of belonging.

"The Nostalgia Club began with my own family. I saw the connections my daughter and her family found through their club, and it made me want to create a place where generations belong together," said Jay Westman, Chairman and CEO, Jayman BUILT. "This is a place where legacies are built together. Exceptional service, personal integrity and a true sense of community will shape every detail, from a child's first lesson to a quiet moment of your own."

“CANA has spent more than 80 years building landmark projects across Alberta, and we are excited to partner with Jayman Living on The Nostalgia Club,” said John Simpson, Chairman, CANA. “As a third-generation family-run business, we’re proud to bring our experience building sports, recreation, and community spaces to a destination designed for families for generations to come.”

The Nostalgia Club’s planned amenities include:

  • Family: A place where every generation plays together, with a 3,000-square-foot gymnastics centre, a multi-purpose gymnasium, a climbing centre with 35-foot walls, a family games room, a bowling centre and six golf and gaming simulator bays.
